Tech to help you on your flight

If you’re taking a flight this year, we’ve got everything you need in order to be prepared. Whether it’s long or short-haul, here’s the tech to help you on your travels.

To keep your stuff secure: Apple AirTags

Nobody wants to arrive at their destination to learn that their luggage has been lost, misplaced or just picked up by someone else at baggage claim. Having a brightly coloured suitcase that you can spot is good, attaching a luggage tag is better, but adding an Apple AirTag to your suitcase is best.

Not only are these AirTags great for attaching to your keys, your wallet and anything else that you regularly lose track of, they are lifesavers for flights. Just fire up your iPhone to find your suitcase again with Apple’s Precision Finding. If the worst has happened and your suitcase has been left behind, you know exactly where it is even when the airport doesn’t.

To drown out the noise: Loop Ear Plugs

So you’re safe in the knowledge that your suitcase is taken care of, but what about the noise from that baby crying a couple of aisles away, or the two snoring passengers your sandwiched between? If you’re hoping to get some sleep yourself, or just some peace and quiet, Loop Ear Plugs are the answer.

Loop Ear Plugs have gained a cult following online for their excellent design, great comfort, but most importantly of all, the sound reduction. Their Quiet Ear Plugs, which Loop recommends for travel, reduce up to 27 dB of noise and are designed to stay in whilst you’re sleeping. It doesn’t matter how close that Stag Do is, you aren’t going to hear a word.

To keep yourself entertained: Nintendo Switch

Now you’ve had some rest and relaxation, your in-flight meal and a couple of drinks, how are you going to fill the remaining hours? By getting out your Nintendo Switch of course, because Princess Zelda isn’t going to save herself.

You can pick up a Nintendo Switch Lite for £199, or treat yourself and pick up the Nintendo Switch OLED along with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for £349. If you’re really well prepared, you can also pick up some great indie games from Nintendo’s eShop that will keep you amused throughout your holiday: the sequel to Oxenfree, a supernatural thriller game, is released on 12th July.

To keep all your tech going: Belkin Power Bank

Yes, all of your devices might last the journey, but why would you risk it? If you end up stuck waiting on the tarmac, or outside of your Airbnb, you’ll want to make sure your phone has enough power to keep going. That’s where the Belkin Power Bank comes in.

With the Belkin Power Bank you get 10,000 mAh, and you can charge up to three devices at once (perfect for your phone, your Nintendo Switch and another phone belonging to whoever didn’t plan ahead as well as you). You can get up to 4 full charges before you need to fill it up, and it's compatible with smartphones and tablets.

The Transcendit Way

Transcendit understand that when you choose to work with us, whether we're taking care of your IT, app or web development, you're trusting us with part of your business. So whether we're looking after your computers, phone systems or servers we always do things 'the Transcendit way'.

The whole of our team adhere to the same values, beliefs and policies - the principles that were written when Transcendit first formed in 2000. Whether you come to us for cloud services or recovery backup you can be confident that you'll always receive the same excellent service.

The Transcendit way outlines how we do business; following the same straightforward principles with every client and customer, regardless of how big or small they may be.

That means we get to know you and your business. We offer you a friendly, professional and efficient service, and we'll always be honest with you.
We understand that not everybody speaks fluent IT, so we try to explain things in a way that is simple and clear. We always spend as much time as is necessary explaining things to you.
If you need to talk to us about something, no matter how insignificant, we are only ever a phone call away – and we’re never too busy to make you a cup of tea and have a sit down with you in person.
We understand how frustrating it can be when things are late. When we schedule an appointment with you, we are there when you’re expecting us. If something prevents us from getting there, we always call you in advance to let you know.
Sometimes things can go wrong, but we never lie to you or try to cover something up. If things go askew we tell you what’s happened and how we plan to prevent it affecting your business.
We want you to continuously benefit from working with us. We regularly discuss your business and make suggestions for improving systems and processes wherever we can – but we never try to push you into a purchase.
When we quote a fixed price, that's always the amount we charge – you won’t find any nasty surprises on a bill from us. If you are paying by time and materials, we inform you if our approximations could change.
We understand the importance of privacy for your business and your customers. We respect the confidentiality of your data, and we will never pass on your information to third parties.
We appreciate it when you take the time to give us feedback. A system called CustomerSure records our client's responses, so you can trust that our reviews are from real people.

Who can do without Chris in their lives, I certainly couldn't! Well done again. Eileen, Framehouse
