Get Thinking Digital on your 2025 bucket list

Thinking Digital, the innovation, technology and future conference is returning to Gateshead in 2025. The two day event will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts, artists, writers, scientists and speakers, in a celebration and exploration of new ideas.

Thinking Digital brings together more than 500 big thinkers for two days, with delegates attending workshops, lectures, networking events and book signings across a range of different subjects and specialisms. Your ticket also includes lunch, a three course meal and an afterparty with the other attendees.

Founder and CEO Herb Kim started Thinking Digital in 2008, and since then has organised 15 Thinking Digital conferences. Kim says that, ‘...we consistently get feedback from delegates who come back and tell us that in some way the experience has changed their lives, altered their perspective on things, in some cases catalysed entire career changes’

‘One of the nicest things too have arisen from Thinking Digital is the sense of community. Being surrounded by like-minded, curious and creative and innovative people is actually the reason that so many people return every year.’

Thinking Digital is a highlight of the year for many organisations, business owners and startups, and has cemented itself in the North East as a hub for technology, creativity, innovation and science.

Thinking Digital 2024: Philosophy and AI, Origami inspired engineering, and Neuroscience and Videogames

In 2024, speakers from a variety of different backgrounds and professions took the stage. Talks focused on subjects like AI, engineering, communication, science, neuroscience, art, technology, food poverty, space and disability. The full programme of lectures from Thinking Digital 2024 is available to watch on YouTube.

Attendees also got the chance to attend a workshop with other delegates, on the subjects on large language models in business, designing sprints, presentation and radio. These were delivered by business owners and experts in the industries.

One of the highlights of the Thinking Digital conference is the Start-up Competition, where ten entrepreneurs pitch their idea for their business to industry professionals. Attendees also have their say, and select one of the two startups that will make it to the final. The winner for 2024 was SQCDP, an app which removed and replaced paper systems for businesses.

What about Thinking Digital 2025?

The speakers and workshops for Thinking Digital 2025 will be announced shortly before the conference. From previous line-ups, attendees can expect two days of inspirational talks, mind bending workshops and great networking with other businesses and entrepreneurs in the North East.

The main conference will take place at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead, from Wednesday 14th to Thursday 15th May, 2025. However, there will also be a range of pre-conference workshops that delegates can attend across Newcastle and Gateshead.

Tickets for Thinking Digital 2025 are now on sale. You can purchase tickets individually, or receive a small discount if you order two. Standard Passes, and Full Passes which include the pre-conference dinner are both available online.

The Transcendit Way

Transcendit understand that when you choose to work with us, whether we're taking care of your IT, app or web development, you're trusting us with part of your business. So whether we're looking after your computers, phone systems or servers we always do things 'the Transcendit way'.

The whole of our team adhere to the same values, beliefs and policies - the principles that were written when Transcendit first formed in 2000. Whether you come to us for cloud services or recovery backup you can be confident that you'll always receive the same excellent service.

The Transcendit way outlines how we do business; following the same straightforward principles with every client and customer, regardless of how big or small they may be.

That means we get to know you and your business. We offer you a friendly, professional and efficient service, and we'll always be honest with you.
We understand that not everybody speaks fluent IT, so we try to explain things in a way that is simple and clear. We always spend as much time as is necessary explaining things to you.
If you need to talk to us about something, no matter how insignificant, we are only ever a phone call away – and we’re never too busy to make you a cup of tea and have a sit down with you in person.
We understand how frustrating it can be when things are late. When we schedule an appointment with you, we are there when you’re expecting us. If something prevents us from getting there, we always call you in advance to let you know.
Sometimes things can go wrong, but we never lie to you or try to cover something up. If things go askew we tell you what’s happened and how we plan to prevent it affecting your business.
We want you to continuously benefit from working with us. We regularly discuss your business and make suggestions for improving systems and processes wherever we can – but we never try to push you into a purchase.
When we quote a fixed price, that's always the amount we charge – you won’t find any nasty surprises on a bill from us. If you are paying by time and materials, we inform you if our approximations could change.
We understand the importance of privacy for your business and your customers. We respect the confidentiality of your data, and we will never pass on your information to third parties.
We appreciate it when you take the time to give us feedback. A system called CustomerSure records our client's responses, so you can trust that our reviews are from real people.

We have been working with Transcendit since they started in business and they have never taken what they offer us for granted. Always first class professional service. Thanks to you all for the prompt attention and service. Bill Baty, Tech Set
